I DONT WANT TO LEAVE!!!!!!
It has been the most amazing experience I have ever had. I have learnt so much that I actually surprise myself! Today, I added the final credits to all the films and I had to present them to the Public Programs department and they FELL IN LOVE WITH MY WORK, and I was so happy.
Leaving the museum was really sad because I really didn’t want to go, the people I met and the things I did where absolutely amazing. It has been the best thing I have ever done; I could do it all over again. I wish I could. It has BEEN SO SO AMAZING!! I will always remember everything…. and never forget.
Well well, it’s almost come to the end. It’s my second last day at the Melb. Museum. I did a whole lot of editing and worked VERY hard. Then Mia and the group came and visited me at the museum. It was great, we discussed everything that I was doing and how I loved where I worked. I finished all three videos and now im all done. Tomorrow is my last day, AND I DONT WANNA LEAVE!
Well, today is my second and final day at science works to film the work experience students. I spent all day filming the students doing their work and I even got to join in some parts. I basically just filmed all day, not that interesting; the interesting part will be tomorrow when I edit the film!!
Today I have to film the science works students doing there work experience at science works. When I arrived at science works, the line to get in was massive, the place MUST be popular. I got to the staff area and met the gang. The work experience students where really nice. Science works is really different to the Melbourne Museum. It’s more….. sciencey. I filmed the work experience students doing their work and I even got to do some stuff also. It was actually quite fun. Because all 3 museums are all linked up by a server, I could dump all my stuff onto the server at science works and I could still access it at Melbourne Museum. So much time and hassle saved. I got shown around the museum and we even got to see the lightning show, and woah, its good :-O
Anyway, after a looooooooooooong day of filming, time to go home and soak those saw feet!!
Well, im back again and ready to begin my last week at the Melbourne museum. Today, I refined my second movie because I decided to use it as my main, chosen movie. So my mentor and I sat down and began to pick out unnecessary parts of the movie so we could shorten the movie as much as possible. Some parts I needed to re-shoot, so some of that took a while. But I managed to get everything done, worked very hard and now im absolutely exhausted.
Well well, week two has officially come to an end. Today, i actually got my second film done, and it looks fantastic. Im really happy with it. Then i went and visited on of the media staff members who showed me how to upload the movies onto the website so people can watch them. Then, the day was over. What another big week this week has been. Only 5 more days left at the museum, but, i need a good long rested weekend for working so hard!! 
Today began with some filming. I filmed the work experience students helping out live exhibits with the animals and reptiles. It was really interesting for me because I got to see all the things they do behind the scenes to look after the animals and how they clean their homes, was the animals and feed them. Some of the animals were poisonous so it was really interesting to see how they look after these animals without touching them/handling them. I took tones and tones of footage for the movie. I recorded for about 4 hours so I got more than enough footage to use in my movie. Once I was satisfied with how much I had recorded, I went back to my desk and began editing my new film. I was doing fantastic things I self thought myself throughout the week and I was getting some fantastic results. Tomorrow is Friday, so hopefully I will get my second movie done by then…
Today, the work exp. and I went to the Immigration Museum. They did their work exp. stuff and I recorded it for my movie. They went around the museum found their job and I took creative shots and angels and made them talk about what they were doing and how was it helping them. After I finished recording at the Immigration Museum, I took a train back to the Melbourne museum and started doing my editing. I managed to finish off my first movie; I just hope my second movie will be even better. But, once again, im tired from a busy day of running around and lots of brain thinking!!!
Today i got a start on my second movie. I wanted to go for a kind of artistic feel for this next one and i decided i should be the host. I recorded myself explaining stuff and i tried a whole lot of different techniques to make the movie look even better. I recorded myself and the museum for about 4 hours, and for the rest of the day, i started finishing off my first movie, and when i got home, i was exhausted
Well, here i am again, back at the museum, ready to get to work. Today i began the day with some editing and trying out different effects and things with different programs. I self taught myself how to use programs i had never used before and i enjoyed learning all the different things. Then it was time to meet the new work experience students for this week. I began by following their activates and filming all the interesting things they did. I also took quite a lot of photographs too. Once i had all the media i needed, i continued with my editing, using my new skills to make my work even better! Busy day again. Learnt A lot.
